Halo Infinite Head-to-Head Records: Career Compare vs True Matchup History

Is there a website that shows Halo Infinite head-to-head stats—same team or opposing—in Ranked or Arena? Competitive players ask that a lot, including on r/CompetitiveHalo. What they usually want is a shared-match record: wins and losses from games you actually played together, not two career cards side by side.

Most “compare” tools answer a different question. Career / side-by-side compare places aggregate service-record or playlist stats next to each other. True head-to-head / matchup history uses only games where both players appeared in the same match—either as teammates or as opponents.

Career compare vs true head-to-head: the useful distinction

Career / side-by-side compare is two (or more) players’ aggregate service-record or playlist stats placed next to each other. It does not require that they shared matches. True head-to-head / matchup history is stats built only from games where both players actually appeared in the same match—either as teammates or as opponents (shared-match W–L, rivalry, duo record, encounter history).

A concrete example: two Spartans can both post strong career KDA and still have never shared a lobby. The reverse is also common—one player can dominate the other in the matches they actually shared while looking similar on career boards. If your question is “who has better aggregate stats?”, career compare is enough. If your question is “what happened when we queued?”, you need shared-match data.

General stats / service record—career KD/KDA, medals, leaderboards, match history browse—live on Halo Waypoint and third-party trackers. Those views are useful. They are not the same as head-to-head.

What players usually mean when they ask for “head-to-head”

When Ranked and Arena players say “head-to-head,” they almost always mean one of two shared-match questions—and often both in the same breath, the way the Reddit thread phrased it: same team or opposing.

Record against a specific opponent

This is W–L and performance in matches where you faced them. Career KD alone cannot answer it. You need encounter or matchup tools that filter to games both of you were in on opposite sides.

Record with a teammate / duo

This is shared games on the same team—duo chemistry, frequent-teammate history, “how do we do when we stack?” Career KDA still does not answer it. Same-team records also come from shared matches.

If you only need a friend-vs-friend career scoreboard, say so and use a compare page. If you care about what happened in the lobbies you shared, keep reading for true matchup options.

Where true matchup / encounter history usually lives today

True shared-match analysis exists. On the open web, one-click arbitrary A-vs-B H2H is scarce. Serious full personal encounter history usually means a local install.

Local / install tools for full personal H2H

OpenSpartan Workshop (GitHub; get started: openspartan.com docs) builds a local match database. Community advice for DIY H2H is to download games and filter shared match IDs—powerful, but it is a local companion workflow, not a public web matchup board.

LevelUp (https://github.com/JGtm/LevelUp/) is a local-first Infinite dashboard with encounter / rivalry-style Face-à-face relations analysis. Install is required. It is a strong fit when you want personal encounter history across many players on your own machine.

The open-web gap

Few dedicated web products offer one-click true H2H for arbitrary player pairs. The documented community ask is here: Comparing head to head stats (r/CompetitiveHalo). Replies typically point to Data Hive Compare, Halotracker, Leaf, Spartan Record, or DIY via OpenSpartan—not a dedicated public A-vs-B H2H web product.

Be fair: general trackers still help if you manually dig match history. That is not the same as a matchup board that already knows which lobbies you shared.
